Register with your name, email and password. If you already have an account, sign in.
- Choose your items
Browse the current collection. Open an item to check its photos, description, dimensions and condition.

Select Place Bid and review the auction terms. Follow the payment setup prompts; Modern Day Bids requests card details before your first bid with a seller.
- Set your maximum and follow along
Enter the most you want to bid. Modern Day Bids bids automatically as needed, up to that limit. Follow your items under Dashboard → Active Bids.

A few things
to know.
- Look closely. Read the description and condition notes, check dimensions, and ask questions before bidding.
- Know your total. Check the sale’s buyer’s premium, applicable taxes, and payment terms. Delivery and shipping cost extra.
- Watch the closing time. Lots close individually. Bids placed within the last three minutes reset the timer. Sort by “Closing Soonest” to keep track of your items as they close.
- Plan the journey home. Check pickup, delivery and shipping options and request any quotes before you bid.

How do I register?
Create an account on Modern Day Bids. Before your first bid, the platform asks you to accept the sale terms and provide a credit card. Open the bidder getting-started guide.
Do I need to keep clicking to bid?
You can enter your maximum bid. Modern Day Bids will bid in increments for you, up to that amount. Your maximum is private. Read the bidding guide.
What happens if I win?
Modern Day Bids provides your auction invoice and handles payment. Follow the collection instructions on that invoice. Pickup is in Media, Pennsylvania; delivery and third-party shipping are also available. See pickup and delivery options.
Can I look at something in person?
Visits are by appointment outside designated pickup days. Contact us to discuss the piece and arrange a visit. See our contact and appointment details.
